Tip #10 How to Cut Your Power Bill

Tip#10 Spend More Time Outside

This one sounds kind of obvious but really it works! Look we live in the South and whether you want to admit it or not people lives right here in Raleigh WITHOUT air conditioning for more than 300 years.

I first moved to Raleigh in July 2007 and it was one of the hottest, driest summers on record. The boat launches at Jordan lake  were completely  unusable unless you were willing to carry a boat upon your shoulders through 20 feet of red clay mud to get to the shoreline.

God I was convinced had smited me by placing  me in a tract home just one Beazer subdivision financed 100% by sub-prime mortgage loans away from the surface of the Sun! Yet in spite of this I was amazed to see joggers at all hours of the day, even 5PM in the hottest part of the day out in the heat!

I guess it is all true, it really is all relative to what you are accustomed to and we humans are a very resilient lot. If you accustom yourself to 100 heat you will be amazed at how 78 is downright cold when you come inside!
