Two Raleigh Area Banks on the ropes

Two banks that have begun to demonstrate the tell-tale stress signs of banks that banks who eventually are closed by the Fed typically demonstrate;

Four Oaks Bank & Gateway Bank (Hampton Road Bank).

Both Banks are sustaining significant losses in their real estate loan portfolios.  Four Oaks signed an agreement with the Feds to tighten their lending practices and will likely face higher borrowing costs when raising capital which they will no choice but to pass those increased  borrowing costs along to their customers in the form of higher interest rates and fees for services that once were free.

Judging from the recent job posting for a Senior  Credit Analyst it would appear there has been some shake up at the Four Oaks bank unlike the Hampton Roads bank whose share continue to rise on speculation they will find a buyer.
