Tip#5 – Replace your old incandescent light bulbs with LED or Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs.
What do you think was powering your Easy-Bake Oven when you were a kid? That’s right a 100WATT incandescent light bulb. Can you imagine that today? The things we got away with in the 70’s!
Regardless of where you fall on this argument of CFL vs. Incandescent bulbs this much I know; turn on an incandescent light bulb, give it a few minutes and it it is too hot to touch. And that heart has to go somewhere and it is in your house that you are paying big bucks to keep cool. So keep the lights off where possible or CFL or LED lights when it is time to replace.
