The Story behind Pelican’s Snoballs

The Story behind Pelican’s Snoballs
Pelican's SnoBalls

Q: Why do you call your snowball stand Pelicans?

Adrian: To answer that question requires retelling the history of Pelicans. About thirteen years ago my daughter was attending Wake Christian School which as you know is just across Hwy 401 from our Garner location and she wanted to sell snowballs to make a little extra cash. Initially we set up on that side of the highway. She named it Pelicans because the Brown Pelican is the state bird of Louisiana where her Mama and Papa (New Orleanese for Mammy and Pappy) live to reminder her of where she would frequently spend her summers (undoubtedly where she developed a taste for snowballs)

Since relocating from Northern Michigan in 2007 I have lived in Garner (27529) with my wife Melanie and our four children. With personal production of 8MM in real estate sales across Southern Wake County I am considered to be a local market expert in the following communities: Garner (27529), Fuquay-Varina (27526), Holly-Springs (27540), Apex (27502), and Raleigh (27603, 27604, 27606, 27609, 27610)) which spans from downtown Raleigh to Willow Spring including Lake Wheeler.
