How to Prepare for Your Move
Three Weeks Prior to the Move:
- Contact utility services to schedule a cut-off date (phone, gas, electricity, cable, etc.).
- Arrange for utility service to begin in your new residence.
- Obtain a change of address kit from the post office.
- Research driver license requirements and voter registration for the new area.
- Gather up boxes, tape, markers, and packing materials.
