There essentially two reasons why a person might be eligible for financing on more than one primary residence and they are described in the chart below. Additionally, under certain circumstances FnMa will permit a borrower to purchase a principal residence even before they have sold an existing principal residence. Due to the complexity of these permissions it is best to speak with a licensed mortgage loan officer before committing to an Offer to Purchase.
